The best thing about beer, is that there are so many different styles, each of which can pair up beautifully with various types of oysters. Looking for something traditional? There is a beer for that. Want your taste buds to explode during this pairing? There is a beer that can make that happen, too. Raw oysters and premium Japanese sake pair beautifully together for reasons that other alcoholic beverages can't quite replicate. From a flavor and textural standpoint, oysters and sake can share many of the same qualities. From brininess to sweetness, creaminess to silkiness, cucumber to mushroom notes, the two are natural companions.
